[add-duckduckgo-search-engine.patch] Searx instead of DDG #23
Comments
So could searx. All we know is that searx released some source code, not necessarily the source code in use. |
Its all the source code open source, you can even run your own Searx, you cant run your own DDG. |
@juancarlospaco The point that @dcousens is making is: whenever we use a web-service we can't be 100% sure what code they are using, what data they are retaining and what they are selling. Further, if we run our own Searx instance, then it will require manual configuration anyway. |
inox detects that you're using a search page and adds search by default |
settings list (clearnet) : favicon: https://cryptocartel.com/static/themes/oscar/img/favicon.png url: cryptocartel.com search url: https://cryptocartel.com/search?q=%s settings list (tor) : favicon: http://wscvq7ru5saua556.onion/static/themes/oscar/img/favicon.png url: wscvq7ru5saua556.onion search url: http://wscvq7ru5saua556.onion/search?q=%s |
Would be nice if searx would setup a roundrobin instance to avoid centralization. In any case, I use https://searx.good.one.pl, since it uses DDG through Searx. |
@gcarq for now A Bif you want i could try to add this (searx) |
Another alternative to the Duck: |
Add Searx as Default Search.
