Within the français side of the portal, we need the text that shows on the data page to appear in French. For example, "Table, Map, Gallery, Datasets" as result formats should display this text in French. Column headers and other buttons should appear in French.
Data itself would not be translated.

This issue need to be solved first gbif/hosted-portals#60

When that is in place, then it is up to the community to provide the translations. If you haven't joined Crowdin already, then you can join via Crowdin. The GBIF.org translations are being handled in https://crowdin.com/project/gbif-portal/fr# - many of the values will already have been translated in that project.
