Hi,

I've flashed my DS203 recently, and while it seemed to be working fine afterwards, I must admit I'm finding more and more issues.

Unfortunately, I'm under the impression that I may have used the wrong file for my device.

When I boot it up, it says:

Hardware version is 2.7
Mini DSO sys ver 1.52
Mini DSO app ver 2.53

parameter record not found

Issue number 1: While saving files appear to work, the content is never valid and the file size is 0K.

Issue number 2: When DSO is hooked up to USB and I'm visualizing the content of MINISO (D:) folder, I'm unable to delete following files:
FILE000 - Copy (5).BMP
FILE000 - Copy (6).DAT
FILE000.BMP
FILE000.DAT
FILE001.BMP
etc.

(12 files total are impossible to delete)

Issue number 3: I was trying to install the GABOUI_1.HEX file and it says I don't have enough space. I have 492kb free out of 492kb when I'm in 'flash mode' and I have 1.84mb free out of 1.96mb when I'm connected to USB in normal mode.

Issue number 4: I tried to install APP_G251.hex. While it copies the file, it get a 'APP_G251.err when I disconnect and reconnect the USB wire.

There seem to be a lot of very knowledgeable people here, perhaps someone has an idea on how to fix this?

My objective is to run my DS203 with a simpler interface. What I've seen here is very interesting

Thank you

Frank

Hi,

I encountered the same issue.
I have a MiniDSO203 (Hardware version = 2.70, Sys version = 1.52). I had no issues to upgrade the APP from Ver 1.03 to version 1.07 and to 2.53 after that.
But I was not successful in updating the firmware with the gabonator firmware, using any of the GABOUIx.hex files. The FDU did not accept the file, claiming that the file is over the limit of 492kb.

I would be grateful if someone could help me (maybe you Probegtze, if you find the answer).

I did not find the following file APP_G251.hex as well).

Thanks

Unfortunately, I'm still DEAD...

I would call my situation: white screen of death. :(
