Proper rendering on laptop screens

When content outgrows the central area (caused by either maaany info boxes or when displayed on smaller screens) it just disappears. This issue should be addressed in order to ensure that even when we have a lot of content it gets displayed correctly and to work towards establishing the geofsdisplay as a web app that can be viewed on any device, extending the current "exactly one well-known info display" use case.

Note: It already renders nicely on mobile so I only referred to laptops in the issue title.
