Kalixa pay prepaid card

Signup process

• Received email to select my card PIN.
• I verified by mobile number so that I could enable SMS alerts.
• I've chosen to get notified by email and SMS when I:
  • Load cash
  • Make a transaction over £5
  • Receive my weekly balance

Online account

• There's a CAPTCHA as part of the login process. I wonder why this is there? Simply to stop people brute forcing the login form?
• Transactions in the statement include both date and time, where I've only ever really seen date in other accounts.

Payments

• Contactless payments appear almost immediately in my Kalixa statement (I tried Pret and Salad Junction).
• Chip and PIN payments appear almost immediately in my Kalixa statement (I tried POD).

Loading money to my Kalixa account

• Using a debit card is almost instant.
• Using a bank transfer suggests it might take up to 7 days. Presumably this is to allow for the actual payment time, and the time it takes for Kalixa to update my eAccount (which could feasibly be a manual process).
