Vulnerabilities caused by Banned APIs in library.

Hi,
We are using Version 1.4.0 in our project & we checked on the latest version 1.4.1 that library is still using Banned API's lie strcpy,strlen. As it is creating vulnerabilities in the code just wanted to know whether these banned API's are going to be resolved in upcoming versions.
