text color on dwm status

hey i am new at arch and this month i trying to use dwm as my daily driver
i have problem at text color in dwm status and terminal either,

 $ COLOR="\x19"
 $ ICON="墳"
 $ printf "$COLOR %s \x0b " "$ICON"

gave me this output and there's no color just white space
$ 墳 $ %

i've try this too

green=#7eca9c
blue=#7aa2f7
printf "^c$black^^b$blue^ $(date '+%I:%M %p') "

and the output :
^c#1e222a^^b#7aa2f7^ 05:26 AM

any suggestion ?

If you want to use this one

 $ COLOR="\x19"
 $ ICON="墳"
 $ printf "$COLOR %s \x0b " "$ICON"

that means you have to apply dwmblocks patch, have you done that ?
