I have tried both:

http://festvox.org/flite/packed/flite-2.1/voices/cmu_us_awb.flitevox
http://festvox.org/flite/packed/flite-2.1/voices/cmu_us_awb.flitevox

And they sound worse than the builtin "awb". More wobbly.
I would like to try more .flitevox voices, but with the same good quality as in the builtin ones :-D.

(I would also love to get more UK voices and dialects!)
