The “Implementer” is solely responsible for obtaining advice of competent legal counsel as to the identification and interpretation of any relevant laws and regulations that may affect the Implementer and any actions that the Implementer may take to comply with such laws and regulations.
This “IMPLEMENTER” Platform Privacy Statement (“Platform Privacy Statement”) explains the data that the “IMPLEMENTER” may collect that enables you to use this “IMPLEMENTER” Platform (or “Platform”) used in connection with the Platform Project. This Platform Privacy Statement only applies to the information “IMPLEMENTER” may collect on its behalf. Therefore, it does not apply to the information that any other third party entity may collect for its own use, separate to the use stated here. The “Truth Loop” Platform Project is provided as a portal for those who wish to upload their own content:
- Because for too long peoples of race, colour, descent, national or ethnic origin – as well as peoples of good conscience - have patiently awaited the arrival of equality, the moment has now revealed itself that members of free and democratic societies around the world are no longer willing to accept the extreme prejudices and biases of the past;
- Because the moment must now be seized to press ahead with reforms and material changes to institutions, policies, regulations and governance structures, in order to ensure that positive, impactful and meaningful change is made so that peoples of race, colour, descent, national or ethnic origin may enjoy the benefits to which they are all equally entitled to;
- Because a long history of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same objectives of discrimination, profiling or restriction, evinces a design to remove them, it is their right to throw off such violations to human dignity and to provide new guards for future security, welfare and prosperity;
- Because no group or body should be capable of exerting undue power and control over others in any sphere, whether that be public or private, and that no one should face discrimination, profiling or restrictions based on race, colour, descent, or national or ethnic origin;
- Because all individuals are created equally and no person should be denied this right based on race, colour, descent, or national or ethnic origin;
"Truth Loop" is an easy-to-use platform that stores and curates relevant policies, regulations, and legislation (PR&L) to help the Black community better understand the PR&L that might affect them most. Truth Loop clarifies and simplifies PR&L, increases the community's legal awareness, and provides a platform to gather video testimonials and responses that can be shared among community members and with policymakers legislators, advocacy groups and other interested parties. In these video testimonials, community members can share their experiences around how policies have impacted them or how proposed policies could impact them.
“IMPLEMENTER” may collect the following information through the “Truth Loop” Platform Project:
- Personal information you may provide to download and use the Platform, including your, name, pseudonym, photo and / or image presented in video and audio files;
- Social media account information, including password – for the sole use of enabling or accessing content, and which will not be shared with any third party;
- Information about your usage of the Platform, including crash logs and usage statistics;
- Information about your device and its interaction with the Platform, including the type of device you use with the Platform, its unique user ID, IP address, and operating system, and the type of Internet browsers in use; and
- Information about the location of your device, including geo-location information.
This information is also referred to as your personal data.
“IMPLEMENTER” may use the information collected through the Platform in the following ways:
- To provide to, or permit access by, legislators and policy makers;
- To provide to officials related to such legislation; and policy
- To provide to, or permit access by advocacy groups;
- To provide to, or permit access by the media;
- To provide to, or permit access by social media;
- To review the quality and improve the functionality of the Platform;
- To better improve the way the Platform works with your device(s);
- To provide anonymized user analytics and industry benchmarking; &
- To share anonymized data with third parties.
Provided that this information is not required to be retained pursuant to judicial proceedings, court orders, or legal processes, this information will be deleted when it is no longer needed for the “Truth Loop” Platform Project, unless it has been anonymized and does not any longer contain personally identifiable information.
The “IMPLEMENTER” will process your personal information on the basis of consent and legitimate interest.
In addition, your personal information is used based on legitimate interest. This means that the objectives and processing of your personal information by the “IMPLEMENTER” will not be to the detriment of your rights and freedoms. In the event that you feel that there would ever be an imbalance in those interests – or the imbalance is clearly realised by the “IMPLEMENTER” – the processing will cease upon that realisation, or when you advise the IMPLEMENTER as such.
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information at any time (please refer to the “Who to Contact” section below).
“IMPLEMENTER” may use cookies and / or other web tracking technology through this Platform. While Platforms at this time do not recognize automated browser signals regarding tracking mechanisms, such as “do not track" instructions, you can generally express your privacy preferences regarding the use of most cookies and similar technologies through your web browser. You consent to their use by using this App.
“IMPLEMENTER” does not use the “Truth Loop” Platform Project to knowingly solicit data from children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with information without their consent, they should contact us via [please insert “IMPLEMENTER’s” web address]. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.
You may opt-out of all collection of information by the “IMPLEMENTER” – for example, by uninstalling a related App from your mobile device, or contacting the IMPLEMENTER directly (please see who to contact below).
This Platform Privacy Statement may be updated from time to time. We will post a notice at the top of the page notifying users when it is updated or modified in a material way. If we are going to use your personal information in a manner different from what is stated at the time of collection, we will notify you, and you will have a choice as to whether or not we can use your personal information in such a way.
