Looking again at the metadata fields there is probably a lot of redundancy between the metadata and part (c) of the abstract ("model assumptions"). For example see our current Abstract for round 0. The reason is probably that the US hub introduced the abstract much later than the metadata.

To simplify, we could remove many fields from the metadata which should be covered in the abstract if relevant for each round. I suggest we could remove the following which should all be covered by the abstract and updated each round when it's relevant:

  • modeling_NPI
  • compliance_NPI
  • contract_tracing
  • testing
  • vaccine_efficacy_transmission
  • vaccine_efficacy_delay
  • vaccine_hesitancy
  • vaccine_immunity_duration
  • case_fatality_rate
  • infection_fatality_rate
  • asymptomatics
  • age_groups
  • spatial_structure
  • importations
  • confidence_interval_method
