After drawing several temporary polylines, some of them remain indefinitely - even if I close the Profile tool, refresh the QGIS project, or save/close the current QGIS and re-open the project. The red temporary mouse position points also remain with the red polylines - as in the attached image.
This has been an issue during the last few releases of QGIS and the Profile Tool.

I also notice something similar, not the polylines but the last position of the cursor on the polyline persists as a red dot even when the tool is closed.. a bit annoying
