egui returning values

Hey, is there any basic examples of that do something like

1. you typing in a value in a TextEdit window which stores the value to a myapp Option<String> field
2. egui window closing & returning that value
3. continue on the rest of my code

My app has a "start rendering" function which runs in the terminal, and as of now I couldn't figure out how to close THEN run my rendering commands (which are gathered during egui's use)

perl told me to use https://doc.rust-lang.org/std/sync/mpsc/struct.Sender.html

also had to switch from using run_native_simple to run_native
