Smansoni.lncRNAs

Ad-hoc pipeline for lncRNAs identification on the genome/transcriptome of the blood fluke Schistosoma mansoni. From an article (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-017-10853-6) in which we have applied the computational pipelines disclosed herein (pipe-lincRNAs.pl and pipe-ASlncRNAs.pl).

The Schistosoma mansoni genome encodes thousands of long non-coding RNAs predicted to be functional at different parasite life-cycle stages. Elton J. R. Vasconcelos, Lucas F. daSilva, David S. A second publication came out in Jul/2018 (https://doi.org/10.1093/database/bay068). It is about a web resource where we disclose a catalog of each of the S. mansoni lncRNAs whose expression is correlated to protein-coding genes along the parasite life-cycle. We also provide access to navigation on the co-expression networks disclosed in our previous publication, where we correlated mRNAs and lncRNAs transcriptional patterns, pinpointing biological processes where lncRNAs might act upon.
