Reminder to make sure that when Peer A is online and sending a friend request to Peer B (offline) Peer B will receive friend request when is back online

Thanks

  1. In theory, when peer-A send a friend request to peer-B while peer-B is not online (or connected carrier network) at that time, in which situation, as long as Peer-A keeps online (would periodically send friend request in internal), when peer-B come back to be online, he should receive that friend request.
  2. But in practice, it would not work as that way sometimes.
  3. For now, The workaround way is to try to keep both peers online when they want to be friend.

Thanks, we will keep tracing it until find a better way to resolve this issue.

@stiartsly is it fixed with the offline feature?

Yes, This issue has been solved by offline messaging mechanism. When Peer B is being offline, and Peer A try to send a message to peer B and this message would be sent as an offline message by DStore (Hive IPFS) , which would be received by Peer B as long as Peer B come back to online.
