Looking at the benchmark files for the FNG dose while reviewing PR #2, the best representation (aside from simulating charged particle transport) of the source would be a openmc.stats.Tabular distribution for the polar angles with linear-linear interpolation which dictates which energy distribution is then sampled. I don't believe this is possible right now in OpenMC, but I'm just using the issues in this repo to track potential features we may want to add to OpenMC to better compare with benchmarks in SINBAD.
