Hi,

Not sure if this is to your interest.

There is a recent R package that seems to be applying a dimension reduction of non-normally distributed data such as counts or binary matrices

The paper is not published yet but they have a vignette which summarized what it does https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/glmpca/vignettes/glmpca.html
