Hi, I would like to be considered to work on this mini-project "Whole Genome Assembly and Annotation of SARS-CoV2". I am interested to work with viral genomics to gain Assembly and Annotation skills and develop a workflow pipeline on the same.
For my second option, i select "Oxford Nanopore Technologies Metatranscriptomics Mini-project"

I am interested in this mini-project since SARS-CoV-2 has caused severe effects globally; and it would be nice to understand how some of the first published studies conducted their genome assembly, alignment, and phylogenetic analysis.
Also, participating in this mini-project will enhance my bioinformatics skills in preparation for the main project - where I will conduct post-GWAS fine-mapping and causal variant identification.
"Oxford Nanopore Technologies Metatranscriptomics Mini-project" is my second option should I miss the first one.

my first choice for the mini-project is "Whole Genome Assembly and Annotation of SARS-CoV2" because I would really like to explore on SARS-COV-2 data. I also feel the project will help me in preparation for my main project.

on the occasion that Whole Genome Assembly and Annotation of SARS-CoV2". is not available, "Oxford Nanopore Technologies Metatranscriptomics Mini-project" will help me prepare for the main project.
