When webpages pickup on my system theme it defaults to light regardless of my settings in firedragon. My themes on such pages default to dark in firefox with no intervention using just System Theme - Auto. In firedragon however, I also have System Theme - Auto on and despite my kde plasma colors passing through ok, webpages dont register it as a dark theme. The settings page itself detects that my theme is dark since the color of settings page remains dark if I change 'follow system appearance' to 'dark' in the 'theme mode' settings but will change to white if I change it to 'light'. The 'website appearance' setting can be set to dark, light or automatic as well, however it does nothing for actual webpages which always register my theme as light regardless of what I set those settings too.

Is resist fingerprinting turned on or off? I imagine this to be spoofed in case it's enabled.

That setting doesn't make a difference

more specifically your toggle does nothing to change privacy.fingerprintingProtection in about:config but changing that to false does in fact fix it.
