Feature Request:
It would be great to have a {{related>}} entries function.
I use DokuWiki as a personal notebook and it helps to show related items.
Currently, I also use BlogTNG for this effect.

I am not using tags much and I do not use the blog(blogtng plugin.

What should a related syntax tag do in comparison to tag or topic?

related would be quite similar to topic, but instead of inputting tags it would use the tags already assigned to the page. It should sort by # of tags in common (as opposed to alphabetically) and have a configurable limit (for example 5 entries.)

I found something similar: https://github.com/ilesinge/shaarli-related
Gonna try to hack something together - but I don't have much hope 😰.

Topic does at the moment not accept that not a tag is given. So alternative is that {{topic>}} uses the tag from the current page for a topic list. The pagelist has recently support for &limit=5. Also can the pagelist plugin sort, however, in that case first a useful sortkey should be added to the data.

That data is not yet available. e.g. the cloud plugin collects the number of occurrences of tags, eventually filtered to a specific namespace. But collecting such data is relative expensive. So should only happen when needed. Further sorting on if having overlapping tags is more work. Or here we should do a trick to manipulate the count scores by increasing significantly the occurrence scores for these tags that overlap, such that these sort higher?

Another variant of related tags see #103
