Optionally disable filter functionality

hi, great plugin thanks. is there a simple way to use the plugin just for the header input field animation, rather than the full angular filter functionality? it would be nice since ionic currently doesn't offer a good native experience for a slide-open search input field. thanks!

Interested too. Would be cool being able to handle completely the behavior on search event and bypass the whole filter thing. Useless for instance if you want to trigger a remote search.
