When testing the Canbus messages from the Steering that control Eco on and off it became apparent that after some usage, these can messages are not constant like an on off switch . This creates a false on and off signal, from usage over the last 6 months ive noted that the Can id for Eco Flag on and Eco flag off Actually changes with the following (Soc and also Regen or throttle position) this means we cannot use this flag in the code to enable and disable inverter code .
We need either an external input in the form of a switch to enable the inverter code or
We leave the inverter code always enabled ( which leads to the guess o meter increasing range superficially )
Find another switch mechanism that can do this function that does not change states ( in the form of can messages altering while driving )
Some recommendations from users ? For this reason we will need to disable this function Eco button state .until we can find a work around
