AI Dungeon module, Music module and snipe commands will be removed in May 2022

AI Dungeon module will be removed in May 2022

After considering this for some time, I've decided to remove the AI Dungeon module in May 2022.

I lost interest on AI Dungeon a long time ago, and I don't really want to spend time maintaining something I don't enjoy anymore.

Currently the module is in maintenance mode (only bug fixes are made).

Music module will be removed in May 2022

Fergun was intended to be an utility bot and not a music/multipurpose bot. I added the music module to test myself and know how easy (or hard) is to create a music bot.

There are thousands of music bots and I want to focus on the original view of my bot (an utility bot).

I don't have any interest to improve or maintain this module and it will be removed in May 2022.

Snipe commands will be removed in May 2022

Due to Discord removing access to the content of messages to verified bots (unless approved for it) in September 2022, the snipe commands will be removed some time prior.

The affected commands are:

  • snipe
  • editsnipe
  • bigsnipe
  • bigeditsnipe

Note: If you want to keep using these commands/modules after they've been removed, you can self host the bot (README.md). No support will be given for old versions of Fergun nor for non-official bot instances.
