The tree style parser seems to replace &lt &gt by < > which is often desirable but not always.  The documentation does not appear to offer an option to turn off this replacement activity for tree style parsing.  Is there an option to prevent these replacements from being performed?

I'd also like to find a way to prevent this transformation.
