Default configuration setting files for nodes

I'm not sure this is possible with ComfyUI's architecture but it would be fantastic if there could a configuration file (either just one huge file similar to ui-config.json for AUTO1111 or per node collection) that could be used to set default values for nodes.

It is often frustrating when starting a new workflow to have to make sure I have set everything up correctly, especially, for example, the SaveImage node pointing to the correct path. I know default values are hard-coded into custom nodes and would possibly mean rewriting every single existing custom node but better to rip the band-aid off now, I guess? Having default values not hard-coded also strikes me as good practice.
