This is probably a weird question, so I'll just ask first, then explain why I want to do this...
Q:
Can I have a browser window that is running the web app and producing the audio output to the PC, but have a separate browser window that can also control the first browsers scanner app and buttons?
Why?
I'm trying to use SDR-trunk and Rdio Scanner on a livestream through OBS. I can use it's built in browser, or I can capture an application window, such as a firefox or chrome window, running Rdio-scanner. Either way works. However interacting with the buttons through OBS is less than convenient, so using a Chrome window is better, but any resizing of the windows goes crazy, and also it would be better to only see the display screen on what I stream, and not the talkgroup selection screen which I would keep on the side of the stream. So I was hoping there is a way to run a copy in one browser instance, but the second browser is a slave and it all works as one 'listener'.
And I may really be dreaming here, but it would also be nice if the second browser window for interacting with the buttons was on another machine, perhaps a tablet browser.
P.S. I am really impressed by Rdio-scanner, excellent work! If I can find a way to make this work for me, I will definitely be contributing to the project. And a message for @chuot , I too have had some similar life changes, so I feel your stress, but hang in there. Don't forget your passions!
