the colour change latency and blanking latency (same thing) must be compensated in the output signal

Note that black dwell points are the current mechanism to await the fade to black. Fixing this issue should replace that hack.

This means colour changes must be made by lookahead by n samples where n is derived via configured latency compensation in ms and current sample rate in Hz.
