Add documentation to contributing / testing

• For all PRs, there should be a linked example to demonstrate the changes made. The reviewer shouldn't need to create this themselves (though to a certain degree this is still recommended - depending on the changes)
• Add documentation for a possible way a developer can make and test changes (e.g. locally)

.. and more things but the above should be a good start for now.
