The first step to start using this is to start using the Github Tags/Releases features because that's what notifies the Updater to update 😄 |
@hadim found this: https://github.com/EvolveLabs/electron-updater Tell me if this would work with Butter so that I can start implementing it 😄 |

Hey there, What would be the best way to contact them since the forums have been down for the past few days. I am very interested in taking this project on (as a Dev) and see much potential in it. I also feel it would be a terrific learning experience for me as I am currently learning Angular and starting to make complex things in Electron. Thanks! I see you ! :) Wait, I'll ping @xaiki to get you into a more chat-friendly environment. In the meantime, you sure are welcome to use and abuse GPL for your fun, learn & write code. Regarding the main project though, we currently are not focused on angular afaik. We plan on rewriting the code to react (we started on butter-desktop), to rewrite some code as modules (butterproviders), and eventually moving away from Backbone to use React, maybe also switching from NWjs to Electron when the 2 above is done (and it'll be then an easy switch). So, as you see, I don't know exactly what the faith of Angular will be. In theory, no code is ever "lost", though :) |
please give me an email address so i can get you into slack |
@xaiki it is [email protected] 😄 thanks! |
