Is this how batch is meant to be used

The goal is to do a batch RPC call to get multiple raw transactions. Unsure if I should do it entirely synchronously.

func GetRawTransactions(batchRPC *rpcclient.Client, hashes []*chainhash.Hash) ([]*wire.MsgTx, error) {
	txs := []*wire.MsgTx{}
	if len(hashes) == 0 {
		return txs, nil
	}
	var mu sync.Mutex

	for _, hash := range hashes {
		wg.Add(1)
		go func(hash *chainhash.Hash) {

Not even sure how to use *Async functions effectively.
