Visit http://brew.sh/ for instructions, or type the following into the Terminal.app application (use Spotlight to find the application "Terminal"):
ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"
Open Terminal.app
type:
brew install libvorbis --universal libsndfile --universal libogg --universal flac --universal git
Open Terminal.app
type:
mkdir ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Vamp
Open Terminal.app
type:
mkdir BregmanVamp
cd BregmanVamp
git clone https://github.com/bregmanstudio/BregmanVamp .
cp vamp-bregman-plugins.dylib ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Vamp
Make sure the plugin is installed correctly by opening Sonic Visualizer, and going to the menu bar item "Transforms/Analysis By Maker/Bregman Media Labs/Dissonance: Linear Dissonance"
If you don't have Xcode, and cannot easily download it, then the above steps will not work for you. Instead, attempt to download this repository using the "zip" download link lcoated on the right side of the page. Then locate the file ending in "dylib" and place this in the folder ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Vamp (You'll likely have to create the folder "Vamp" inside the Plug-Ins directory). To find this directory, you start in your "home" directory (the one listing Documents, Music, Desktop, etc...), then double-click on Library, then Audio, Plug-Ins. Then create a new folder called "Vamp". Then copy the "dylib" file into this directory.
