mumudvb T2 HD tv doesnt work #287
Comments
Hello
I understand you are frustrated. This being said just throwing your
frustration will probably not help.
Looks like it is not even clear where the problem is, try with another
client like ffmpeg directly on the multicast adresses. Maybe a DVB-T2 tuner
is too much if your network is not properly configured, maybe the mpeg4
demuxer of vlc is not set up. I can just give clues.
We are not gods, so we cannot guess what the issue might be.
So please provide logs and some more details of what you have tried
Good luck, I hope a solution will be found
Brice

why cant mumudvb work like kaffeine? i have both kaffeine AND mumudvb
version 2 installed.
i have a twin DVB-T2 tuner from TBS.. once i sorted out the fault with its
drivers.. (it wont work with latest Mint 20.3 kernels.) ..it works just
fine with kaffeine to show all the UK HD channels on mux6. from Rowridge
and all the stadard SD channels.
Mumudvb is a different can of worms... standard DVB-T works just fine.. no
problems... BUT for some weird reason it says it tunes to DVB-T2 and gives
alist of multicast channelks treams as expected BUT..vlc sees the SAP
announcements but selecting any one of them gives you diddly swat on the
screen.. the blank silent screen of videolan death.
ALSO when you try to stop mumudvb it refuses. and runs on in the
background.. only kill -9 and its pid works to kill the evil thing....
HELP.
