It would be nice if the configuration files offered the ability to specify the use of private proxies (i.e., proxies that require a user name and password), such as SOCKS, HTTP, and HTTPS with TLS 1.2 proxies (at least SOCKS 5; HTTPS with TLS 1.2 is non standard but common nowadays as both Chrome and Firefox support it).
It is somewhat possible to do now via the use of Proxifier, but it's often unreliable.
