This will be done after the layer rewrite.

The documentation should be aimed at an advanced user. document the API, data formats, etc.

As the full rewrite will probably still take some time, we should discuss about when/how to document in the near future.

We decided not to do this in the Wiki, but in Markdown documents within the project - that way, it can be written more easily next to developing. We'll focus on this once all the important functionality is here (~September).
