The changes involving mplayer seem to have broken event playback. On Mac OS X, playing an event seems to try and spawn another Bluecherry Client instance in the Dock (which bounces continuously). Additionally the media cannot be played until it is 100% downloaded now.

Having checked, this also affects Linux (latest build as of 586ed38).
