Bambu Studio Version

1.10.1.50

Where is the application from?

Bambu Lab Official website

OS version

Windows 10 Home

Additional system information

13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900H

Printer

Bambu Lab X1 Carbon Combo

How to reproduce

The display does not recocnise sd-cards anymore.

  1. I insert a sd-card into the display (label faciing to the front).
  2. Go to the 4th icon on the left (settings)
  3. Go to 2nd tab (General)
  4. On "MicroSD-card" push "Format"
  5. A message is displayed that data will be lost. Confirm this by pushing "Format"
  6. Then this error is displayed "No microSD-cardd detected". Here you only can push "Close"

I did try every sd-card i have but always i get the same error message.
In the "General" tab the option "Video" is turned OFF.

A few weeks ago i had to replace the ribboncable from the controllerboard (upper left side inside the printer) to the display because the display did fail when rotating the display up/down.
The cable had a broken wire somewhere in the flatcable.
The new flatcable did resolve that problem and the display does work fine.
Only now i can not record timelapses anymore and can not read any more files from sd-cards.

On youtube i did see someone mentioning that a small pin inside the sd-cardholder not making contact when a sd-card is inserted was the reason the sd-card was not recocnised.
I removed the display but i could not look into the sd-cardslot.
I don't know if the pcb on the display can be removed and be placed back. As far i can see, the display is premanent attadged to the pcb.
The sd-card-slot should be on the other side of the pcb. Then you maybe could correct the problem yourselve.

I think the whole display-connection should be reviced and improved. Also a 7 inch screen would be very nice.

Please do advice on what i can do next.
