Describe the bug

The font type in Figma does not sync to Amplify. I tried both Abel and Barlow in my Figma file, and either way the text looks kind of like Times New Roman in Amplify. This issue was not there before Easter, and I have not opened or changed my Figma file or Amplify app in the meantime.

Expected behavior

Font type in components is transferred from Figma to Amplify.

Reproduction steps

Create component in Figma and sync to Amplify. Notice the font type.

Hi @layqnovo, can you confirm that you are using our latest UI Kit Figma file?

No, I'm using my own Figma file with my own custom made components. I have from the beginning and there didn't use to be a problem.

@layqnovo Unfortunately we don't officially support using your own FIgma file to be imported into UI Library. The UI Kit Figma file is made in such a way so that it can be duplicated for you to modify and use, and it provides the best experience when using Amplify UI Library. The documentation on how to use the UI Library and UI Kit file can be found here https://docs.amplify.aws/console/tutorial/buildui/

Hello, even using the latest UI kit, this problem persists. The font on figma does not sync with Amplify studio.

I'm finding the same thing trying to use Font Awesome.

This seems to be an issue still, any solutions ? Not sure how to get my figma font into amplify studio. There does not seem to be font options in the UI builder. New to all this.

in my case: font looks okay in Amplify studio, but it will be changed to Times like font on application running.

Unfortunately, UI Builder does not have the ability to import fonts at this time but we do have it on our list of enhancements. I don't have any timelines I can share at this time.
