Installing the libcstl Library
******************************
This file descript how to install the libcstl library.
Configuring and compiling libcstl
=================================
To build libcstl, run "./configure" (a shell script). The configure
script will determine your system attributes and generate an
appropriate Makefile from Makefile.in. Next run "make". If everything
goes well you can su to root and run "make install". You need install
libcmockery if you want to build libcstl and run "make check" to test
libcstl. You need install libcmockery separately. The home page of
libcmockery is http://code.google.com/p/cmockery/
It may also be useful to set the CC and CFLAGS variables in the
environment when running `configure'. CC selects the C compiler that
will be used, and CFLAGS sets optimization options for the compiler.
The following list describes all of the available options for `configure':
`--prefix=DIRECTORY'
Install machine-independent data files in subdirectories of
`DIRECTORY'. The default is to install in `/usr/local'.
`--enable-stack-implementation[=ARGUMENT]'
Select stack_t implementation. If this option is specified with vector
(--enable-stack-implementation=vector), the stack_t will be implement
with vector_t. If this option is specified with list
(--enable-stack-implementation=list), the stack_t will be implement
with list_t. Otherwise the stack_t will be implement with deque_t,
this is the default behavior.
`--enable-queue-implementation[=ARGUMENT]'
Select queue_t implementation. If this option is specified with list
(--enable-queue-implementation=list), the queue_t will be implement
with list_t. Otherwise the queue_t will be implement with deque_t,
this is the default behavior.
`--enable-set-implementation[=ARGUMENT]'
Select set_t implementation. If this option is specified with avl-tree
(--enable-set-implementation=avl-tree), the set_t will be implement
with avl-tree. Otherwise the set_t will be implement with rb-tree,
this is the default behavior.
`--enable-multiset-implementation[=ARGUMENT]'
Select multiset_t implementation. If this option is specified with avl-tree
(--enable-multiset-implementation=avl-tree), the multiset_t will be implement
with avl-tree. Otherwise the multiset_t will be implement with rb-tree,
this is the default behavior.
`--enable-map-implementation[=ARGUMENT]'
Select map_t implementation. If this option is specified with avl-tree
(--enable-map-implementation=avl-tree), the map_t will be implement
with avl-tree. Otherwise the map_t will be implement with rb-tree,
this is the default behavior.
`--enable-multimap-implementation[=ARGUMENT]'
Select multimap_t implementation. If this option is specified with avl-tree
(--enable-multimap-implementation=avl-tree), the multimap_t will be implement
with avl-tree. Otherwise the multimap_t will be implement with rb-tree,
this is the default behavior.
`--with-memory-management'
Use libcstl memory management, the default behavior is not use memory management.
To build and run test programs which exercise some of the library
facilities, type `make check'. If it does not complete successfully,
do not use the built library, and report a bug after verifying that the
problem is not already known. Bugs are documented in bug tracking system
has a WWW interface at `http://code.google.com/p/libcstl/issues/list'.
The WWW interface gives you access to open and closed reports. A closed
report normally includes a patch or a hint on solving the problem.
