I'm comparing the result of the get_sun() method with NASA Horizons. I get relative errors of around 1% in cartesian coordinates. The documentation says the function is not well tested, so I maybe shouldn't expect anything better than 1%? I can provide a simple example if that helps.

@hannorein - could you open an issue in the main astropy repo if this is still the case? I think we do want to improve the precision of this function.
