pypi-install create binary packages named python-PYPI_NAME
An option to specify a different name would be very useful especially when the package is expected to replace an outdated system package.

I think this is already implemented with the Package and Package3 options (look for Package3 in the main github page):

[DEFAULT]                                                                        
Package3: foobar

Edit: I just noticed that I replied to a five-year-old issue… I am not sure that this is still relevant to the original poster…
