Rain Rendering on Single Image

Hi! I would like to apply your great project for single-image-rain-rendering, yet I notice that it seems the code only works with sequences of images (or dataset I suppose?) so I've been trying to make some modifications to the current code. I am quite new to particle simulation, and I really want to know that is it okay to apply one of those particle simulation file to one single image (assume those camera settings are the same), just like how it works with image sequences? or is that particle simulations just aren't designed to work in this single-image way?

Sorry if I have asked any silly questions. I'd be really grateful if you could give me some hints.
