The arista.eos-system role creates an abstraction for common, global system configuration. This means that you do not need to write any ansible tasks. Simply create an object that matches the requirements below and this role will ingest that object and perform the necessary configuration.
This role specifically enables configuration of IP Routing, the hostname and CLI users.

Requires an SSH connection for connectivity to your Arista device. You can use
any of the built-in eos connection variables, or the convenience provider
dictionary.
The tasks in this role are driven by the hostname
and eos_ip_routing_enabled
and eos_users
objects described below:

secret | string | This key is used in conjunction with encryption. The value should be a hashed password that was previously generated. |
nopassword | boolean: true, false* | The nopassword key is used to create a user with no password assigned. This attribute is mutually exclusive with secret and encryption. |
role | string | Configures the role assigned to the user. |
privilege | int: 0-15 | Configures the privilege level for the user. Permitted values are integers between 0 and 15. The EOS default privilege is 1 if you omit this key. |
sshkey | string | Configures an sshkey for the CLI user. This sshkey will end up in /home/USER/.ssh/authorized_keys. |

Ansible EOS roles require the following connection information to establish communication with the nodes in your inventory. This information can exist in the Ansible group_vars or host_vars directories, or in the playbook itself.

The eos-system role is built on modules included in the core Ansible code. These modules were added in ansible version 2.1.0

The following example will use the arista.eos-system role to completely setup
CLI users, ip routing and the switch hostname without writing any tasks. We'll create a
hosts
file with our switch, then a corresponding host_vars
file and
then a simple playbook which only references the eos-system role. By including
the role, we automatically get access to all of the tasks to configure system
features. What's nice about this is that if you have a host without system
configuration, the tasks will be skipped without any issue.
