This is a very frustrating usability issue in Rubyric. It is hard to notice and causes incorrect grading in A+ since everyone gets full points.

  1. The teacher uses such grading rubric settings that the points should be summed from the rubric components and sent to A+.
  2. The rubric pages are prepared as usual in the settings and the point-granting phrases are set.
  3. The teacher does not set the min and max points for the rubric page because they are hard to see.
  4. Teacher grades submissions in Rubyric and sees the correct points in the Rubyric submission list.
  5. When the points are sent to A+, everyone receives full points in A+ because Rubyric sets the A+ grading protocol parameter max_points to zero.

The min/max points settings in the rubric settings are hard to see because they are small, and the fields are only visible when the mouse is hovering above the rubric page name field.
