Search before asking

  • I searched in the issues and found nothing similar.

Motivation

Fluss already exposes several metrics via Prometheus, but there is no way to visualize them yet.

Solution

  1. Provide Grafana dashboard templates for the monitored metrics.
  2. Give a minimal example how to run Grafana and add it here.

Suggested dashboards:

  • System-level metrics (metrics with *_JVM_* infix)
  • Cluster-level metrics (see here and here)
  • Application-level metrics
  • Flink connector metrics

Anything else?

This can be quite helpful and we could add Prometheus and Grafana into the docker-compose quickstart guide to make it easy for new users to test things out.
