Satellite foot controller

I had an idea that I have been pondering for some time and pedalino with it's huge possibilitys.

So my idea would be the main controller and a small satellite this is either connected by wireless or some kind of connected cable maybe RJ45 or RJ11 connector .

So imagine an effects unit that has 3 foot switches you could add two buttons on either side making it 7 foot switches plus you would have the effects unit screen in the middle etc.

I've got the ideas in my mind it's just how you connect them with a clean look.
