Rayson, an independent liberal member of the Illinois House of Representatives 1965-77, discusses his years in the General Assembly: his work with civil rights, public aid, and criminal law legislation; Illinois Family Study and Low Income Housing Commissions; Democratic conventions; women's rights; and leaving the assembly. Also discusses his years before the General Assembly: family, Depression, college education; WWII, law school and early political involement.
