Scope and Contents
Wood, oilfield geologist, discusses his experiences in the Army Air Force during WWII: enlistment, assignment as a B-24 bomber radio operator and waist gunner, bombing raids in Europe, being shot down and captured in Yugoslavia, and internment at Stalag-Luft IV. He also discusses growing up in Mount Carmel, Illinois and attending Washington University in St. Louis. 4 tapes, 360 mins.
