Can you switch between "modes" without re-installing acme.sh?

I initially installed and setup acme.sh in standalone mode. I am currently using the built-in nginx reverse proxy server in Synology's DSM. I want to install the nginx server separately via docker and run acme.sh in nginx mode (so I can share the certs with the nginx manager). Is it possible to switch modes without starting over again and doing a fresh install?

Update/Clarification: Sorry, I re-read through the general install notes and realized that I just have to re-issue the certs using the nginx argument. However, I do still have a question, but I'll post it separately and hopefully more clearly.
