@ctech4285 please remove branches that are no longer needed. See this page: https://github.com/Zubax/opengrab_epm_v3/branches. I specifically suggest to remove PET_testing and degauss_debug.

They are useful for doing some internal testing,

What is the best practice in these cases?

The proper thing to do is to separate your testing code into dedicated bits and merge that into master.
