In 1.20.1, sign can right-click to edit content, which can only be controlled using use permission. At the same time, the right click viewing permission of the lectern is also controlled through use permission. Can these two permissions be separated? Because now if you want to open the viewing permission of the lectern, you need to enable use permission, which will also open the editing permission of the sign.

Adding my vote to this one, again. We've talked about it before, moving the sign interaction to the place/build flag instead, which more closely resembles the actual function, while still allowing the use flag for functions like interactive commands or elevators within CMI.

Currently we're still forced to disable sign editing completely because otherwise people were able to edit signs everywhere because the residence needed the use flag for the myriad other purposes covered under the use flag.

Honestly it's been such an issue and ongoing annoyance for players that we've been considering moving away from Residence since the current implementation breaks such a highly desired feature. We've been using Residence for a decade and would hate to have to do that.
