THIS APPLIES TO MAC OSX ONLY
To finish instalation you need to run the chrpath.sc script that will set the rpath to the binaries right for your system. That is, on a shell window issue the following command
./chrpath.sc
You may also get into troubles due to incompatibilities with old Matlab dynamic libraries. I don't know how TMW manages to screw things so well but the fact is that even with an 'rpath' and DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH set ML goes sniff first to its own versions. The following is a likely example
??? Invalid MEX-file
'/Users/j/programs/MacMirone220/lib_mex/gdalread.mexmaci64':
dlopen(/Users/j/programs/MacMirone220/lib_mex/gdalread.mexmaci64, 1): Library
not loaded: /Users/j/programs/MacMirone220/libnetcdf.dylib
Referenced from: /Users/j/programs/MacMirone220/libgdal.dylib
Reason: Incompatible library version: libgdal.dylib requires version 9.0.0
or later, but libnetcdf.dylib provides version 7.0.0.
In such cases (HDF5 is another one) the only solution I know is to move the offending ML dynamic libraries out of the way
